Little fuzzy is a little lumpy.

I suppose when it rains it pours.

Y'know, as much as I preach about being ones own superhero, that's still not without it's drawbacks. I suppose the test of my worth to being a prophet or a magus is truly being tested. I'm not saying that everyone reading this will understand what I'm talking about, but I think I'm being tested by forces far older and greater than we for a job that is far greater than most of us can fathom.

Anyway...Saturday, I took Bey to the vet because I found lumps on his chest. 3...maybe 4, I'm not entirely sure.. It appeared they came along and said "hello" quite literally overnight. One under his nipple the diameter of a quarter, another under that the size of a pea and another quarter sized one after that. These popped up in one to two days. After $300 in tests, they don't know what it is, but they believe it to be cancer. Great news, eh? Top that off with the car air conditioner dying systematically where that was another $800 bill for fan, compressor and freon and Bey being scheduled for Thurdsay surgery, this is becoming a pricey week. Especially since after looking over pet records, operations have been between $300 and $500.

However...how could I let this fuzzy face down? He needs me so.



So that's like what? Possibly $1700 in a week? Oh...did I forget to mention it's my birthday tomorrow? This sure does beat when I went to jail and had to spend $700 in bail money on my birthday. So some time during my birthday, I have to drop off my cat to be gutted like a pig for what may appear to be a twisted version of kitty liposuction. Yet we still don't know what these masses are. They are attached to the skin, not the muscle tissue so hopefully its a skin condition, however the vets tell me it could be breast cancer as the masses are but free floating as in not stuck to muscle tissue. Either way it must come out.

Webkittyn has been great trying to get me to be at ease about this, but after Claude passing from a cancer operation just before her birthday, it just strikes a little too much like lightning hitting twice.

And so I roll with it. I just can't help feeling that every time I hug him, it's for the last time... Happy Birthday to me, huh? Next entry: So it's my birthday today. Previous entry: "Hey Darkstar...you're a music producer, right?"
